To raise awareness about the Aarogya Setu App of the Central government, Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan has appealed to ‘Powerstar’ Puneeth Rajkumar to spread the ‘good word’ about the app.
On Wednesday, Dr. Ashwath Narayan met the actor and briefed him about the app. “It is essential that people get the right information about Covid-19,” he said.
In response, Puneeth Rajkumar immediately downloaded the app on his mobile and said he was ready to cooperate with the government in every way. “Everyone who uses a mobile must download the Aarogya Setu App. As soon as the symptoms are recorded on the app, information will be transmitted to the relatives,” he said.
The app alerts a person who is infected with a personal message. GPS technology also tracks the movement of infected people. Information is available in 11 languages, including Kannada.
