Covid effect: 6-month extension for docs, paramedics

Health Minister B Sriramulu has announced a 6-month extension in service for government doctors retiring after June.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, the minister said, “All physicians (clinical and non-clinical) who will be retiring after June 2020 will be continued in service for 6 months.”

He added, “Our government has set up 20 Covid Care Centres to combat Covid-19. A total of 10,000 beds are being arranged.”

He said there have been discussions on the effectiveness of ayurvedic medicine, and RGUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr Sachidananda has been asked to prepare a report.
