Bengaluru: The fourth round of seat allotment for postgraduate medical courses in Karnataka commenced on Friday, offering another opportunity for eligible candidates. The announcement was made by Islavuddeen Gadyal, Executive Director of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

Candidates who have not applied so far can submit their applications until March 3. Applicants who have already registered must appear at KEA on March 2 and 3 to submit their original documents for verification.

Those opting to participate in the fourth round are required to pay a caution deposit of ₹7 lakh between March 2 and 4. Eligible candidates can enter their course and college options from March 4 to 6. The provisional results will be declared on the evening of March 6, followed by the final results on March 7.

Candidates allotted seats must pay the prescribed fees and download their admission letters between March 9 and 11. They are required to report to their respective colleges by March 12.

Only candidates who have not secured seats in the earlier rounds are eligible for this phase. Those allotted seats in the third round must complete admission formalities by March 4. Failure to do so will result in their seats being added to the fourth-round pool.

KEA will conduct counselling for 817 postgraduate medical seats and 17 DNB seats that remained vacant after the third round, officials confirmed.
