BSY seeks early clearance of drinking water projects
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital on Friday morning and discussed various developmental issues pertaining to Karnataka.
The meeting lasted for 15 minutes at Parliament House. The Chief Minister appealed to the Prime Minister to expedite the release of funds from the National Disaster Response Fund and also to revise the norms for aid from the SDRF and the NDRF for the current year, so as to ensure timely and adequate financial assistance to distressed people. He also urged the Prime Minister to declare Upper Krishna Project Stage-III and Upper Bhadra Project as National Projects.
The CM also requested the PM to take necessary action for early approvals and clearances for irrigation and drinking water projects, including Mekedatu and Kalasa Banduri Nala.
Yediyurappa extended an invitation to the PM to inaugurate the Bengaluru Tech Summit on November 19 in the virtual mode.
