After speculations being high that the 13th edition of Aero India show might move away from Bengaluru, the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa met Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday.
Yediyurappa requested Singh to allow Bengaluru to continue hosting of Aero Show. “It’s being 22 years, Karnataka is hosting Aero India biennial air show and aviation exhibition being held at the Yelahanka. It is speculated that 13th edition may be shifted from Bengaluru. CM requested not to move the aero show away from Bengaluru,” said a source.
Deputy Chief Minister Govind Karjol accompanied Yediyurappa. Aero show held in 2019 was also speculated that it will be moved away from Bengaluru and Uttar Pradesh will be allowed to host the show. But it was averted after the then Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy intervened in it.
