BSWML Seizes 700 kg of Banned Single-Use Plastic in Rajajinagar Enforcement Drive
Bengaluru, July 23: Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) has seized 700 kg of banned single-use plastic and imposed a penalty of Rs 75,000 during an enforcement drive in Ward No. 97, Prakash Nagar, under the Rajajinagar Assembly constituency.
The action was taken as part of the ongoing crackdown on the manufacture, supply, storage and use of banned single-use plastics.
The enforcement drive was carried out in the presence of the area Marshal, Division Supervisor, Assistant General Manager (AGM) and Joint Health Inspector (JHI).
BSWML said strict enforcement against violations involving banned single-use plastics will continue as part of efforts to protect the environment and promote a cleaner and greener Bengaluru.
