Brutal Assault: Woman Tied to Pole, Beaten in Karnataka Village
HAVERI: Another shocking case has come to light in the district of Haveri — Reports have surfaced of a woman being tied to a pole and brutally assaulted in the village of Aramallapur in Ranebennur taluk. This disturbing incident occurred four days ago but only recently came to public attention.
The victim, identified as Hanamavva Duragappa Medleri (50), was accused of abducting a young woman, leading to her violent assault. The perpetrators, Chandrappa, Gangappa, and Gahitevva from the same village, are said to have carried out the attack. Allegedly, Hanamavva’s son, Manjunath, was involved in the abduction.
The brutal act of tying Hanamavva to an electric pole and beating her mercilessly was a result of her son’s alleged involvement in the abduction. This horrific incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Ranebennur Rural Police Station.
