Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Urban district administration has cleared encroachments on 12 acres of government gomala land in Kadagrahara village of Bengaluru East taluk and taken the property back into government possession, according to an official statement.
The land has an estimated market value of ₹72 crore and a guideline value of ₹18 crore. The two figures refer to different valuations of the same 12-acre property.
Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner P. S. Kantharaju led the operation and visited the encroached government land during the clearance drive.
Land in Bidarahalli hobli
The recovered property is in Kadagrahara village, Bidarahalli hobli. It falls under old survey number 34, corresponding to new survey numbers 115 and 116, and is classified as gomala, or government grazing land.
The administration said the total extent cleared was 12 acres. Following the removal of the encroachments, the land was brought back under government control.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Jagadish K. Naik, Deputy Director of Land Records Sujay, Bengaluru East Tahsildar Parashuram and revenue officials from Bengaluru East taluk participated in the operation.
