Top officials including DCP D. Devaraj and Joint Commissioner Ramesh Banu visited the scene. The body was shifted to Bowring Hospital for a postmortem, which revealed horrifying details: 15 injuries on the back, 8 on the chest, and severe lacerations on the skull and neck, indicating deliberate mutilation.

As the investigation progressed, Bharati Nagar Police took five people into custody, including a key suspect named Vimal. The search for other accused is ongoing.

The BJP MLA Byrathi Basavaraj has been named as Accused No. 5 in the FIR, further intensifying the political ramifications of the case.

An FIR has been registered under relevant sections, and a special team is actively pursuing leads. Police sources say gang rivalry or personal enmity may have led to this gruesome killing. Investigation continues.
