Bengaluru | Police Unearth Rs 86.87 Lakh in Illegal Gambling Raid on Gold Dealer’s Home

The special investigation team of the CCB conducted a raid on an illegal gambling operation in a gold dealer’s apartment, resulting in the arrest of six individuals. The accused have been identified as Jinendra, Manish, Mukesh, Lalit, Rohit, and Sanjay. During the raid, two unaccounted money bags were discovered at the gambling venue, containing a total of Rs 86.87 lakh. The seized funds have been confiscated.

The illicit gambling activities took place in the residence of Raj Jain, located at Park West Apartment near Sirsi Circle, under the jurisdiction of JJ Nagar Police Station. During the operation, the CCB officials found Rs 1.48 lakh on the game table, which was also seized. Further search of the premises led to the discovery of an additional Rs 85.39 lakh.

The owner of the apartment, Raj Jain, who possessed the money bags, is currently on the run. It was later revealed that Raj Jain, a gold trader, had previously filed a false complaint regarding a stolen gold incident. The police are conducting a thorough investigation into this matter.
