Bengaluru | Gear Up for Peenya Elevated Highway Closure from January 16th to 19th: Know Your Alternate Routes

The city traffic police have announced that the movement of all vehicles will be restricted on the Peenya Elevated Flyover Road from 11:00 PM on January 16th to 11:00 AM on January 19th.

The Peenya Elevated Highway, part of National Highway 4, requires repairs to its viaduct. The National Highway Authority will be undertaking the repair work and has requested traffic restrictions. As a result, the police have decided to close the road from 11 pm on January 16th to 11 am on January 19th to conduct load testing and ensure the viaduct’s integrity.

For passengers traveling from Nelamangala to Bengaluru city via the flyover road, an alternative route has been provided. They can reach Goraguntepalya via NH-4 near the Kennametal flyover and the service road through 8th mile, Dasarahalli, Jalahalli cross, Peenya police station junction, and SRS junction.

In a press release, the city traffic police have also outlined the route for vehicles traveling on the flyover road from CMTI Junction towards Nelamangala. They will be allowed to reach the Parle-G toll via SRS Junction, Peenya Police Station Junction, Jalahalli Cross, and Dasarhalli-8th Mile on the NH-4 service road adjacent to the flyover.
