RAMANAGARA:
Armed robbers have targeted motorists on the busy Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, stealing gold worth Rs 9 lakh. In a distressing incident just two days ago, two individuals, Hemachala and Ankaiah, were robbed of 166 grams of gold ornaments valued at Rs 9.13 lakh.
Hemachala and Ankaiah were on their way from Channapatna to Bengaluru when they decided to take a break near the overbridge at Mayaganahalli due to their fatigue. As they stepped out of their vehicle to freshen up, two menacing figures on a motorcycle suddenly appeared, wielding a sword and swiftly snatching their precious gold ornaments.
The Ramanagara Rural police have promptly registered a case and launched an intensive manhunt to apprehend the audacious robbers. This incident highlights the need for increased security measures on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway to ensure the safety of motorists and prevent such criminal activities.
