BENGALURU: In Bengaluru, a woman from Bihar was kidnapped and raped, leading to the arrest of two suspects.
The incident occurred when miscreants intercepted a brother and sister riding a bike from KR Puram railway station. They attacked the brother and then raped the young woman. The victim is reported to be from Bihar.
This incident adds to the recent outcry over the deteriorating law and order situation in Bengaluru and Karnataka. The suspects were apprehended by the Madevapura police in connection with the crime.
The victim, who had arrived at KR Puram railway station from Ernakulam, Kerala, had informed her cousin of her visit to Bengaluru. After getting off at KR Puram station as per her brother’s directions, she was assaulted by two unidentified men while heading to Mahadevapura for lunch.
The men attacked her brother, kidnapped her, and assaulted her in a secluded area. The distressing incident prompted locals to rush to the scene upon hearing the victim’s cries for help.
