Bangalore Urban District Witnesses Major Victory Against Illegal Encroachment; Rs 34.17 Crore Worth of Encroached Government Land Successfully Reclaimed

BENGALURU: Illegal encroachments worth a staggering Rs. 34.17 crore have been successfully cleared across the Bangalore Urban district, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Jagadish.G.

Tahsildars from various taluks within the Bangalore Urban district joined forces to reclaim government land that had been unlawfully occupied. The areas targeted for clearance included Gomal, Kunte, Crematorium, Gunduthupu, Government Katte, Government Kal, and Government Ura Mundala Tippe.

In Yarappanahalli village, Bidarahalli hobli, Bangalore East taluk, a total of 1 acre and 0.20 guntes of Gomal land (S.No. 20) valued at Rs. 6.00 crores was successfully reclaimed. Similarly, in Gunjur village of Varthur hobli, 0.10 guntes of Kunte land (S.No. 124) worth Rs. 2.50 crores was cleared. Additionally, in Halanayakanahalli village of Varthur hobli, 0.04 guntes of Cemetery land (S.No. 23) valued at Rs. 1.60 crores was reclaimed.

In Thigalachaudenahalli village, Sarjapur-3 hobli, Anekal taluk, a plot (No. 81) measuring 0.02 gunta with an estimated value of Rs. 0.30 crores was also successfully cleared of encroachment.

Madapatna village, located in Tavarekere hobli in Bangalore South taluk, has seen a significant clearing of encroachments. A total area of 0.20 guntas from S.No. 31 Gunduthupu has been reclaimed, with an estimated value of Rs. 1.23 crores. Additionally, in Chikkanahalli Village of Tavarekere Hobli, 0.05 guntas of Government Land from S.No. 58 has been cleared, valued at Rs. 0.69 crores. In Vaddarapalya Village of Kengeri Hobli, 0.30 guntas of Government Land from S.No. 53 has been reclaimed, with an estimated value of Rs. 0.50 crores.

Moving on to Doddabettahalli village in Yalahanka-3 hobli, Yalahanka taluk, efforts have been made to clear encroachments. A total area of 0.04 guntas in front of S.No. 5 Government Village has been reclaimed, valued at Rs. 0.80 crores. In Matkur village of Heeraghatta-1 Hobli, 0.15 guntas from S.No. 76 Cemetery has been cleared, with an estimated value of Rs. 0.75 crores.

The village of Hunnigere in Dasanapura hobli, located in Bangalore North taluk, has successfully cleared a total area of 0.15 guntas from encroachment on S.No.51 Government Plot, estimated to be worth Rs.0.75 crores. In addition, the village of Bettahalli in Dasanapur hobli has cleared 3 acres of encroachment on S.No.38 Government Gomal, valued at Rs.3.00 crores. Furthermore, Chikkabanavara village in Yeshwantpur hobli has cleared 5 acres and 20 guntas of encroachment on S.No.57 Government Plot, estimated to be worth Rs.16.05 crores.

This significant operation led by District Collector Jagadish.G marks a crucial step towards reclaiming and preserving government land in the Bangalore City district.
