BENGALURU:
The Archbishop of Bangalore has issued guidelines on precautions to be taken in light of the corona virus outbreak.
In a letter to all Bishops, Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore and President of Karnataka Region Catholic Bishop’s Council, has called on parishes to implement precautionary measures and to ‘support each other in prayer and charity’.
Among the precautions recommended are:
* Clean the holy water fonts in churches regularly
* Give the Holy Communion in the hand rather than on the tongue
* Ensure that churches, institutions and surroundings are sanitised
