Gaurav Gupta says vaccine will soon be available in all PHCs and referral hospitals
BENGALURU:
BBMP Administrator Gaurav Gupta has assured all senior citizens that they will receive their Covid-19 vaccinations. He was speaking at a ward committee meeting in Basavanagudi (ward 154) on Saturday.
Some senior citizens had complained at the meeting that despite wanting to get the vaccine, they are forced to wait for days due to lack of clarity on how to get vaccinated.
The Administrator said BBMP is taking measures to vaccinate everyone. Starting next week, the vaccine will be available in all primary health care centres, referral hospitals and private hospitals, he said.

At the ward committee meeting, the issues raised included sidewalk encroachment, maintenance of street lights, unauthorised parking on roads, CCTV installation, distribution of laptops under the ‘Kalyana’ scheme, and the ‘Onti Mane’ scheme.
Responding to local residents’ complaint about sidewalks being obstructed by pushcart vendors, the Administrator instructed the BBMP and traffic officials to do the needful.
Former Mayor BS Sathyanarayana, Ward Nodal Officer Manjunath Reddy and officials from various agencies were present at the meeting.
