Murder suspect attacks cops, shot in leg
BENGALURU:
A murder suspect was shot in the leg by the police after he tried to evade arrest early on Wednesday.
The man, identified as Prabhu, attacked and injured head constable Hanumegowda near Acharya College in the Bagalgunte police station limits.
The police were searching for him when he ran out of an under-construction building. The cops first fired a warning shot in the air. When he attacked them, he was shot in the right leg.
DCP (Bengaluru North) Shashi Kumar said Prabhu had stabbed and killed one Karan after a quarrel over an online game on May 4.
