Temporary Traffic Curbs at KR Puram Lowry Under Bridge from June 4 for Railway Bridge Slab Replacement Work

Bengaluru, May 31: Commuters travelling through the Krishnarajapuram (KR Puram) area are likely to face temporary traffic restrictions and diversions due to railway bridge slab replacement work being carried out at the Lowry Under Bridge near KR Puram.
Authorities have announced a series of road closures between June 4 and June 9, 2026, and advised motorists to use alternative routes to avoid congestion and delays.

The road passing through the Lowry Under Bridge towards Krishnarajapuram, Ramamurthy Nagar and ITI Colony will remain completely closed from June 4 to June 9. During this period, commuters heading towards these areas have been advised to use the KR Puram Cable-Stayed Bridge as an alternative route.
Similarly, the road connecting commuters to ITPL and Whitefield through the Lowry Under Bridge will remain closed from June 4 to June 9. Motorists travelling towards Whitefield, ITPL and adjoining technology corridors have been asked to use the KR Puram Cable-Stayed Bridge to reach their destinations.
In addition, the stretch towards ITPL and Whitefield through the KR Puram–ITPL Main Road will remain closed from 6:00 PM on June 7 until 6:00 AM on June 8 to facilitate critical railway bridge slab replacement work. During the overnight closure, commuters will be diverted through the designated road near the Road Under Bridge (RUB).
Traffic authorities have appealed to motorists to plan their journeys in advance, follow diversion signboards and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed at the site.
Officials stated that the restrictions are essential to ensure the safe execution of the railway bridge slab replacement project and expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to road users.
