Bengaluru, January 27: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar on Tuesday said that senior leaders of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) have sought a written report detailing party units that have shown interest — and those that have not — in the construction of Congress offices across the state.

Speaking to the media after a meeting of the Congress Bhavan Trust Committee held at the KPCC office, Shivakumar said the report would be submitted within the next two days.

Responding to queries on the Congress party’s plan to construct 100 party offices, Shivakumar said the review meeting was attended by senior AICC functionaries, including the party’s general secretary and national treasurer, who are also trustees of the Congress Bhavan Trust.

“They reviewed the status of office construction across taluks — where buildings have been completed, where work has not begun, and which units have shown interest or disinterest. They also examined party properties across the state, including land records, documentation, and tax compliance,” he said.

Shivakumar added that the AICC leaders assessed the current stage of the office construction process and sought updates on pending projects. “For the Congress land located in Gandhinagar, the architectural blueprint for the new building is already prepared,” he said.
