BENGALURU:
With 81 Covid-19 positive cases reported from Karnataka, the health department in coordination with BBMP has set up 31 fever clinics in various parts of Bengaluru city. The clinics started functioning from Sunday.
Those who have troubling symptoms can approach these fever clinics to get a primary check-up.
The clinics have been set up under the guidance of BBMP special commissioner Dr Ravi Kumar Surpur. BBMP has laid down standard operating procedures to be followed while handling such patients in all 187 BBMP health centres.
Highlights:
# The clinics will function 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and their main purpose is to check the fever condition of patients.
# The clinics will be operated from BBMP primary health centres in the open area of the clinic or a designated room.
# Designated doctors, staff nurses and other supportive staff will be designated at these fever clinics.
# A one-metre distance has to be maintained while conducting check-up of the patient.
# If Covid-19 symptoms are found, the patient will be referred to the higher hospital and higher officials will be updated.
