KSCA offers Rs 50 lakh each to Centre, state funds

BENGALURU:

Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has expressed a desire to contribute Rs 50 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund, and Rs 50 lakh to the CM’s Karnataka Government State Relief Fund.

This was announced by KSCA president Roger Binny and association office-bearers.

The donation to the Prime Minister?s and Chief Minister’s Funds is towards strengthening the Central and state disaster management capacities and encouraging research to combat Covid-19.

The coronavirus outbreak is first and foremost a public health emergency and KSCA is firm in its support in this regard. The association said it would continue to monitor and work closely with the state government and other state regulatory bodies and was committed to providing any other necessary support.
