15-Year-Old Boy Killed in Bus Accident on Hennur–Bagalur Road; Driver Detained
Bengaluru: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy after a private bus allegedly hit him on the Hennur–Bagalur main road on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Varun. The incident occurred around 10 AM when the boy was returning home after visiting a nearby shop. According to initial reports, a speeding private bus rammed into him while he was crossing the road.
The accident took place amid ongoing white-topping road work in the area, which had reportedly led to partial road closures and traffic disruptions. Family members alleged that inadequate traffic management and lack of police presence contributed to the mishap.
The bus driver, identified as Imran, has been taken into custody by the police. A case has been registered at the Hennur Traffic Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety measures, especially in areas where infrastructure work is in progress.
