Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi, who is being seen as an aspirant to the Karnataka CM’s chair, has ‘clarified’ that there is no question of a change of leadership in the state.
Savadi, who is in Delhi currently, told mediapersons that there was no truth in media reports that he was eyeing the CM’s post.
He said rumours started circulating after he met the Karnataka governor recently. “I have come to Delhi on departmental work. Yediyurappa is our hero and he will remain Chief Minister for the next three years. I met the party’s national president J P Nadda and brought to his notice the achievements of Yediyurappa’s government,” Savadi said.
He added that he had tried to meet Home Minister Amit Shah, but could not because of the latter’s busy schedule.
