Writing Chief Secretary’s name in notesheet gets BBMP engineer suspended
Executive Engineer Mahantesh had invited 2 different tenders for 2 floors of same building!

In a major development, BBMP Commissioner N Manjunatha Prasad has suspended South zone Executive Engineer (in-charge) Mahantesh for writing a senior officer’s (Chief Secretary) name in the notesheet and also for inviting two different tenders for the construction of two floors of Samudaya Bhavan.

The hearing of the case was held on March 10 and TheBengaluruLive will update the story after details are uploaded on the Karnataka High Court’s website.
A story published in Kannada newspaper ‘Prajavani’ on March 10 highlighted how Executive Engineer Mahantesh invited two different tenders for the construction of two floors — the first floor and the second floor — of the same building.
As per the suspension order issued by the Deputy Commissioner (Admin)on the directive of the BBMP Commissioner, Mahantesh has been directed not to leave the civic headquarters without obtaining permission from the Commissioner’s office.
