Bengaluru: Road resurfacing in Ulsoor’s M V Garden must allow rainwater to flow into drains rather than collect on the road, Bengaluru Central City Corporation Commissioner Jagadish G directed during an inspection on October 28.
Reviewing asphalting work in the Shivajinagar division, he instructed engineers to maintain quality and warned of disciplinary action for poor road work or failure to fill potholes, according to the corporation’s release.
Drainage and maintenance come under scrutiny
Jagadish also inspected a newly built community hall on corporation land in M V Garden. He sought proper maintenance, arrangements for public use and a proposal to generate revenue for the corporation from the facility.
He further directed officials to make a newly constructed purified drinking-water unit available for public use and maintain it properly.
Additional Commissioner for Development Venkatachalapathi R, Chief Engineer Vijay Kumar Haridas and other engineering officials accompanied the inspection.
