BENGALURU:
The semester examinations for UG and PG programmes of various universities will be held by July and the results will be announced by August.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, who also holds the higher education portfolio, told reporters on Wednesday, “We had a video conference with the Vice-Chancellors of all universities in the state and sought suggestions on the tentative examination dates. As the problem was to complete the pending syllabus, institutions have already conducted online classes for students. Also there are many apps where experts have recorded lessons for students.”
The higher education department is planning to conduct a few classes in June and exams for the second and third year UG courses and final year PG course by July, and will announce the results by August.
“The department is working with experts to conduct exams by the last week of June or the first week of July, so as to not waste any time. If all goes as planned, the next academic year will be delayed by only two months,” the minister said.
