BENGALURU:
In a developing story on Monday morning, the ‘third umpire’ has confirmed that Tourism, Kannada and Culture Minister CT Ravi is infected with the dreaded Covid-19 virus.
The minister’s long wait — after earlier conflicting reports — came to an end on Monday after health officials informed him that he was indeed infected and had to undergo treatment. Fortunately, his wife and other supporting staff at home have tested negative.
A tweet posted by him at 8:35 am reads: “Yesterday, I along with my wife Pallavi & my staff members underwent COVID19 test. Fortunately, my wife Pallavi and all my staff members tested negative.
“Third umpire’s result for me has confirmed that I’m Covid positive. However, I’m feeling absolutely fine.”
He added: “For now, I’ll continue to work from here and undergo treatment. Very soon, I’ll get cured and come back to work with you all.”
