BENGALURU:
BBMP has withdrawn its earlier order to shut supermarkets and large grocery shops in the backdrop of the corona virus scare.
BBMP commissioner clarified that the civic agency has not issued any orders to shut supermarkets. The confusion was created after health standing committee chairman Manjunath Raju directed officials to shut down centralised A/C supermarkets. Later, Raju withdrew his own orders.
Meanwhile, Kumar has issued an advisory to shopping marts to avoid sales promotions which draw crowds. He has also advised them to provide sanitizers at various points.
