Sunanda Palanetra is first BJP mayor of Mysuru

Maiden mayoral win for BJP in 25 years of Mysuru City Corporation

MYSURU:

For the first time in Mysuru’s history, the city’s municipality has a BJP mayor. The saffron party’s Sunanda Palanetra was elected Mayor after the JDS abstained from the voting process.

This marks the mayoral debut of the BJP in the 38-year history of the Mysuru City Corporation.

Sunanda Palanetra got 26 votes while Congress candidate Shanthakumari got 23 votes.
