The state PUC and SSLC boards will soon be merged, Education Minister Suresh Kumar said on Friday.
Addressing a presser at the Vidhana Soudha, the minister said the Education Department will develop government schools, and will institute awards for the best teachers.
Suresh Kumar said he had completed one ‘challenging’ year as Education Minister. Many school buildings had been damaged by the floods and had to be repaired, and the CM had provided financial support to the department on this count.
The minister asked those objecting to holding of NEET and JEE to note that the government had successfully conducted the SSLC exams during the pandemic.
He said 1,000 dual-medium classes would be conducted this year. The NEP would be implemented in the state, the minister said.
