Bengaluru: Solar power units have been installed at 3,700 health centres in Karnataka under the “Soura Swasthya” scheme, the state Congress said, setting out a target of covering all 5,000 centres by the end of this year.
The party put the estimated cost of the scheme at ₹120 crore. It said the programme was intended to save electricity and encourage the use of green energy.
The 3,700 figure refers to installations that the party said have already been completed. Coverage of all 5,000 centres remains the stated year-end target.
