SM Krishna criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah| People with social concerns should aspire to become Chief Minister, says SM Krishna

Former Chief Minister SM Krishna has indirectly criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, stating that it is concerning for him to confidently claim that he will hold the position for five years.
Speaking in Mandya, Krishna expressed his belief that selecting a Chief Minister based on caste is a mockery of democracy. He emphasized that individuals with the right skills, accomplishments, and a genuine interest in addressing social issues should be the ones leading the state.
Every political era experiences a defining moment, and corruption poses a significant threat to the future of democracy. It is disconcerting that I have reached a point where I am expected to serve as Chief Minister for five years. This situation should not have arisen in the first place.
Addressing the Cauvery issue, Krishna stressed the importance of the state government adhering to the orders of the Cauvery Authority. Additionally, he proposed that farmer leaders from both states come together to discuss and find a solution to this matter.
