DK Shivakumar Pays Tribute to Forest Personnel Who Died Protecting Karnataka’s Forests, Wildlife
Bengaluru: Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Friday paid tribute to Forest Department personnel who sacrificed their lives while protecting Karnataka’s forests and wildlife resources, as the state observed National Forest Martyrs Day at Aranya Bhavan in Malleswaram.
Shivakumar offered a floral tribute at the memorial dedicated to Forest Department personnel who died in the line of duty while safeguarding the state’s forest and wildlife wealth.
The Chief Minister also addressed the National Forest Martyrs Day programme held at Aranya Bhavan.
Minister Ramalinga Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment Department Anjum Parvez, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Meenakshi Negi and others were present at the programme.
