BENGALURU:
Senior IPS officer Amar Kumar Pandey, who played a major role in the extradition of Mumbai underworld gangster Ravi Pujari, has gone into home quarantine as his personal assistant has tested Covid-19 positive.
Pandey, currently Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), confirmed the development to news agency PTI, saying, “Yes, my personal assistant has tested positive. I am home- quarantined.”
Pandey had played a crucial role in the extradition of gangster Ravi Pujari from Senegal to Bengaluru.
A total of 56 personnel in the Karnataka State Reserve Police have tested positive for the virus till now, said a top police officer.
