Section 144 imposed in Bengaluru

The city police commissioner has imposed Section 144 in Bengaluru from 9 pm to 12 am. The order is only for Sunday so that no one should come out of their homes after 9 pm.

Bengaluru Police Commisioner Bhaskar Rao has advised people against unnecessarily venturing out on Sunday, especially in groups. He warned that the police may even detain people. Section 144 of the CrPC prohibits assembly of four or more people in an area. Rao urged people to remain indoors for the ‘janata curfew’
