Private schools in the state are accused of raising fees by 10 to 15 per cent. The minister clarified that that a circular has already been issued barring schools from increasing this year’s fees. “Till we say so, this year’s fees cannot be collected. If collected, it must be taken online. It should only be used for the salaries of teachers,” the minister said.

No schools should put pressure on parents to pay the school fees. There are complaints in this regard, and action will be taken against such schools. Minister Suresh Kumar has warned that action can be taken through the Education Act and the Epidemic Act.
