Those who applied for LL/DL before lockdown will get new dates
BENGALURU:
Following the Covid-19 outbreak, the transport department had gone into hibernation for two months. But with lockdown restrictions easing, it has resumed its activities. Driving licence exams in all the RTOs in green zones will begin from May 7. The tests will be conducted for only 50 per cent of online applicants.
As per an official release, directions have been issued to RTOs in green zones to offer services like vehicle registration, driving licence, vehicle fitness certificate and tax payment. Thermal screening, social distancing, sanitizers and wearing of masks will be among the precautions in place.
Applicants who had booked LL and DL slots online before the lockdown will be intimated via SMS about the new dates.
