Riots blame game: BJP latches on to grilling of Congress corporators
BENGALURU:
The accusations and counter-accusations between the BJP and the Congress over last week’s riots, in which MLA Akhand Srinivas Murthy’s house was gutted, were heightened with the police interrogating Congress corporators Sampath Raj and Zakir on Tuesday.
Medical Education Minister K Sudhakar, quoting Kudalasangana Deva, tweeted: “‘Body’s anger is a disservice to his seniority/Heart’s anger disturbs his consciousness’… The house burned down and the neighbourhood also burned.Who is responsible for the Bengaluru riots? The truth will come out.”
The minister rubbed in Tuesday’s development by tweeting: “Congress corporators Sampath Raj and Zakir are facing a CCB inquiry.”
