Karnataka reports 6,150 new cases, 39 deaths
State reported positive cases at 6.02 %
BENGALURU:
For the first time, Bengaluru has reported 4,266 Covid-19 positive cases in a single day this year, while the overall daily figure for Karnataka was 6,150, crossing the 6,000-plus mark for the first time.
Tuesday also witnessed 26 deaths in Bengaluru Urban while the state saw 39 deaths overall. Of the other fatalities, three are from Dharward and Mysuru and two from Kalaburagi and Ballari, Bengaluru Rural, Kolar and Mandya.
The 6,150 new cases of Covid-19 take the total caseload statewide to 10,26,584 and the death toll to 12,696, the Health Department said.

In the districts where the new cases were reported, Bengaluru Urban accounted for 4,266, Kalaburagi 261, Mysuru 237, Bidar 167, Tumakuru 157 and Hassan 110, followed by others.
Out of the 45,107 active cases, 351 are in the ICU. In the last 24 hours, Karnataka has reported positive cases at 6.02 % while the state’s fatality rate is 0.63%.
