‘Metro man’ Ajay Seth shifts to Centre
Seth will be Secretary, Dept of Economic Affairs

The city’s Metro rail will see a change of guard as its MD, Ajay Seth, has shifted to the Centre.
A 1987 batch Karnataka cadre hofficer, Seth has been posted on Central deputation with immediate effect.
Seth will take over as Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance in place of Tarun Bajaj (lAS, 1988) upon the latter’s appointment as Secretary, Department of Revenue.
On Tuesday, the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training, issued the relevant orders after the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the postings.
Ajay Seth has served as Managing Director of the state-run Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BRMCL) since July 2018.
Earlier, he served as Finance Department Secretary in the Karnataka government.
