New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has dared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a public debate on who is “anti-national”, saying in a video post on X on Tuesday that Modi can pick the stage, the venue and even the judge. Gandhi said it has been 24 hours since he first challenged the Prime Minister.

What Rahul Gandhi said
- He said Modi describes the Opposition as anti-national and asked him to debate who is anti-national, who has connections with foreign forces and what the nature of those connections is.
- He said both could sit across a table with the media and the country’s youth present, and that Modi could appoint anyone as judge, even RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
- He said the questions would cover the financial system and structure, how and why the US deal happened so quickly, why Modi made it alone without informing the Cabinet, why the Adani case was closed, and the Epstein matter.
Defamation cases
Gandhi said Modi has “slapped” defamation cases on him, perhaps 45, but is not filing one over the debate issue on foreign connections. He said: “Go ahead, file one — we’ll discuss that openly too.”
The post ends with “Happy Diwali, Modi ji.” The statements above are Gandhi’s, as made in his post.
