MP Tejasvi Surya was instrumental in procuring the kits from Pune
BENGALURU:
The Purvankara group has donated around 5, 000 Covid-19 RT PCR testing kits worth Rs 60 lakh to to the government of Karnataka. Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya handed over the kits to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.
Puravankara group MD Ashish Puravankara, COO Abhishek Kapoor, President Avinash Rao, and Dr Vishal Rao who heads the state government’s Civid-19 consultative group, were present.
Dr Pramukh Natesh, member of the consulting committee, said the testing kits would be used in the Bengaluru Covid-19 hospitals set up by the government.
He added, “These testing kits enable the government to test around 5,000 cases. Mylab Patho-Detect Covid-19 Qualitative PCR kit is the first one to receive commercial approval from the national regulatory body.”
