PSI suspended into assault on CRPF Commando
Right wing demands Home Minister’s resignation or suspension of Belagavi Superintendent of Police

Within hours after Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai was trolled on social media and his resignation was demanded by right wing leader or demanded the suspension of Belagavi Superintendent of Police, the state government suspended Sub-Inspector for assaulting CRPF Commando.
Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi suspended Police Sub-Inspector Anil Kumbar, attached to Sadalaga Police Station on Wednesday pending inquiry for negligence and misbehaviour in Examba incident.
Nimbargi said that the PSI was suspended as he misbehaved with CRPF commando Sachin Sawant on April 23 at his native village Ekamba village and arrested him on charges of not wearing mask. On scuffle with the constable the commando was handcuffed and chained at Sadalaga police station.
Sachin Sawant was sent to Hindlaga Jail by the Court and was released on conditional bail on Tuesday.
Meanwhile right wing leader Chakravarty Sulibele demanded Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai’s resignation. He, from his twitter handle @astitvam tweeted: “Sorry @CMofKarnataka after this kind of brutal assault withdrawing the case is definitely not enough. Take resignation of HM or suspend SP, Belagavi. #ResignHMBommai or act now..”
