Bengaluru: Priyank Kharge challenged the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to open its books to public scrutiny on Sunday, questioning its funding, expenditure and accountability.
Kharge asked who funds the RSS, where the money comes from, how it is spent, who audits the accounts and who is ultimately accountable.

Kharge links registration to financial scrutiny
Using the registered trademark symbol, ®, as a political jibe, he claimed that formal registration invites legal scrutiny, financial disclosures, transparency and accountability.
Kharge suggested that the RSS feared such scrutiny and asked why it would not open its books if it had nothing to hide.
