BENGALURU: Prestige Group unveiled its largest residential development in Whitefield
Bengaluru: Prestige Park Grove and Prestige Lavender Fields have received the British Safety Council’s Sword of Honour Awards 2026 for workplace health and safety management, Prestige Group announced on Tuesday.
The two projects earned the recognition after meeting the award’s five-star audit requirement and an independent assessment of safety management, according to the company. Prestige said it was among 80 successful applicants in this year’s awards.
Five-star audit required to qualify
To compete for a Sword of Honour, an organisation must first secure the maximum five stars in the British Safety Council’s health and safety management audit scheme. The qualifying period for the 2026 awards ran from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026, the release said.
Applicants must also demonstrate to an independent panel of experts that they manage health and safety across the business, from operational teams to board-level oversight.
“Safety is fundamental to how we plan, build and manage our developments,” said Rezwan Razack, Joint Managing Director of Prestige Group. He said the awards carried a responsibility to keep strengthening safety practices and make safety a shared priority.
Focus on workplace risk management
V. Gopal, Executive Director at Prestige Group, said safety performance depended on robust systems, disciplined execution, employee engagement and participation by stakeholders. The company would continue to focus on proactive risk management and improvement, he said.
British Safety Council Chairman Peter McGettrick congratulated Prestige Group on the recognition, saying it required dedication and professionalism.
The awards cited in the announcement concern occupational health and safety management at Prestige Park Grove and Prestige Lavender Fields.
