BBMP says ‘Covid’ advisory misinterpreted by landlords
BENGALURU:
BBMP’s Special Commissioner (Projects and Health) Dr. Ravi Kumar Surpur has clarified that BBMP has not asked PG/hostel inmates to vacate the premises.
The clarification reads: “It has been brought to my knowledge that some owners/managers of Paying Guest houses and hostels are expelling and forcing inmates to vacate the premises by misinterpretation of our advisory dated 16th March 2020.
“We have not mentioned anywhere to ask any inmates to vacate the premises. Advice must be given to students to go to their home if their colleges or educational instructions have been closed. But if the student wishes to stay back, nobody must force him to vacate the premises.”
