BENGALURU:

After late ex-minister Jeevaraj Alva’s son, another politician’s son figures in the drug peddling case. BBMP corporator Keshava Murthy’s son Yashas has been served a notice by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

The son of Rajajinagar corporator Murthy allegedly has links with Mumbai-based drug peddler Mohammed Rehman, who has been caught by the NCB. Yashas, who is absconding, has been directed to appear at the Mumbai office of the NCB by 11 am on Monday morning. The notice also refers to money transfers linked to drugs.

NCB officials who arrived in Bangalore in Saturday inspected the house of the corporator, but no drugs were found.

Murthy told media that his son has already left to appear before NCB officials in Mumbai. He said that he is not aware of any activities of his son but said that he was running his own gym business.
