Did MLA alert nephew on day of riots?
BENGALURU:
Pulakeshinagar Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy has demanded a CBI enquiry into the burning down of his house by rioters on Tuesday night.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Murthy said, “As a legislator, I was not able to protect my own home. Now how can I promise the constituency’s people that I’ll protect them?”
The house was completely burnt in the attack. Files and documents too were destroyed, and jewellery looted, he said.
Murthy said he would be filing a complant. “I called the Bengaluru Police Commissioner but he did not take my call,” the legislator claimed. He demanded security for himself and his family.
