BENGALURU: Midnight wheelies, three people on a two-wheeler and vehicles without number plates have drawn action from Bengaluru’s Central Crime Branch, with police booking 19 people during night patrols.
Bengaluru City Police said the action also covered people causing disturbances by consuming alcohol in public places. The operation involved the CCB’s Organised Crime Wing (East Division) and Anti-Narcotics Wing, according to its October 4 announcement.

Night patrols to continue
The two CCB wings are conducting regular patrols across the city at night, police said. The warning extends beyond risky riding to conduct that inconveniences the public or disrupts peace and order.
Police said any such activity would invite strict action. The video accompanying the announcement shows officers on night duty, underlining the continuing focus on street-level enforcement after dark.
