Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has cancelled the written examinations scheduled for May 9 and 10 for recruitment to various posts in RGUHS, BWSSB, Agriculture Marketing Department, and KSSIDC, Executive Director H. Prasanna announced.

The decision comes in light of the state Cabinet’s resolution on April 4 to implement internal reservation for Scheduled Castes in recruitment. As a result, fresh notifications incorporating the revised reservation policy will be issued for the affected posts, leading to the cancellation of the exams.

However, KEA clarified that candidates appearing for the posts of: Managers, Assistant Managers and Assistant Engineers (Electrical) will still have to take the General Knowledge Paper (Paper-1) on May 9 and 10. These candidates had already appeared for Paper-2 (specific subject paper) on April 26 and 27.

KEA has advised eligible candidates to download their admit cards from the official website before appearing for the examination.
